Membership includes membership in LWV Howard County Area as well as the state and national leagues.



The LWV promotes political responsibility through informed and active participation in government and acting on selected governmental issues. 


The League:
     -shall not support or oppose any political party or candidate
     -is fully committed to ensure compliance - in principle and practice - with the LWV United States' policy on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Membership is open to anyone who subscribes to these principles and policies.



To become a member:

The League of Women Voters of Indiana consists of 23 local leagues throughout Indiana.  

Members join through the local league closest to them and membership in the local league includes membership in the state and national leagues.

Membership:

LWV membership dues are sliding scale, so you can pay the dues amount that makes sense for you.  The recommended annual dues amount is $75, but you can pay any amount more or less than that, to a minimum of $20.  The dues amount you choose is split between the local, state, and national levels of LWV to support our work at all levels.

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy. We never support or oppose any political party or candidate. The League of Women Voters has two separate and distinct roles:

Voter Services and Citizen Education
We present unbiased nonpartisan information about elections, the voting process, and issues.

Action and Advocacy
We are nonpartisan, but after study, we use our positions to advocate for or against particular policies in the public interest.
